 Lynn Moffatt & Lindsay Cox formed The Sunday Afternoons in 2013 as a musical duo dedicated to performing a variety of oldies, folk, country, Celtic, gospel, and show tune classics for the enjoyment of seniors, with their main objective to uplift and energize their audience with beautiful music.

 

As they evolved they realized their growing repertoire of music was appealing to music lovers of all ages.  They are now offer sets designed for special occasions, birthday parties, holidays, and based on different themes for a wide array of private and public gatherings.

 

Lynn and Lindsay's voices blend together like lemon and sweet tea; a thirst quenching flavour for a pleasant Sunday Afternoon, no matter what day of the week it is.

Lynn Moffatt is a singer, songwriter and performer originally from a small town in Northern Ontario. From day one, there was no question that she was born to perform.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo where she focused on Recreation and Business Studies. She works with students on one-to-one as well as in a group setting to teach and facilitate musical experiences. She recently furthered her facilitation skills by completing the Artist-Educator Foundations Course at the Royal Conservatory of music in Toronto. 

 

Lynn performs regularly in a top-40's dance band, a musical comedy duo, and on her own as a folk-singer/ acoustic guitarist. She has performed for communities of seniors in a variety of settings and is completely convinced both through her education and first-hand experience of the healing effect musical entertainment has on the overall life quality of this population. 

Lindsay Cox is passionate about performing and working with seniors in the community. She is a graduate of the Gerontology program at Laurentian Silver Lining Senior Services”, a University, and operates “Guelph based business offering friendly visits, dementia care, and opportunities for seniors to engage in meaningful recreation activities.

 

Lindsay has received extensive vocal training and regularly performs in musicals, and at retirement homes and corporate events across the GTA. Her experience working with seniors and volunteering in Music Therapy has taught her about the importance of music and the positive impact of live musical performances on a senior audience.  Lindsay is thrilled to have the opportunity to take audiences on an entertaining walk down memory lane .
